About Ginnie
Virginia Chadwyck-Healey, known to many as Ginnie, worked at British Vogue for 12 years, firstly managing the British Fashion advertising portfolio and latterly, as the Executive Retail Editor. This role gave her a breadth of knowledge across the industry, acquiring a balanced interest in both the commercial and the creative.
She launched VCH Style in 2018 and now works with brands of all sizes to enhance the customer experience; from hosting special events, creating video content or putting together team training days for sales staff.
Her passion ultimately lies in balancing the desire for newness with a grounded understanding of how our consumer 'purchasing power' impacts the planet. 'We have to learn to shop better. We have to ask more questions. We have to embrace the need for less. But less doesn't mean sacrificing style. Think beyond the main event. Think about passing things down to the next generation. Think of how an item of clothing makes you feel, and whether that feeling will be repeated every time you wear said garment.'
As a private client stylist, Ginnie promotes sustainable shopping habits and ethical awareness when recommending a fashion purchase. 'Buy fewer, better quality pieces and you can't go wrong. Please start reading your clothing’s labels!'
As an Ambassador for SmartWorks Charity, Ginnie offers styling advice to women attending job interviews, because 'The right outfit can make all the difference'. She contributes to Sky News and now writes a weekly column, How to build a Wardobe, in The Telegraph Magazine.
Ginnie is married to Oliver, and they have three children. They live in Berkshire, England.
